Nov 06 – 9 – Cairo

The tour is over and while we are all at the same hotel we aren’t doing meals or anything together.  The rest of the group is leaving late on the 6^th while we are staying on for a few days.

We spent the entire 3 days in the hotel working on future travel tasks and slogging through the mountain of photos and blog stuff.  We are very far behind and it will take a while to get everything done.

We did have dinner one evening at the small bar/restaurant on the top floor of the hotel.  It is open air and right on the pool deck.  Not a lot of tables but great views.  It was almost cool but not bad. 

We liked it so much we had lunch up there one day.  And one day we headed down mid afternoon and had banana splits at the Chocolate Lounge. 

On the 9^th we were picked up mid-afternoon for our drive to the airport.  Checking in was pretty painless, as was the five-hour flight to London.  We were in our hotel and in bed by about 11:30pm. 

All things considered our time in the Middle East was very interesting and we are so glad we had a chance to visit this fascinating area of the world.
