Thankfully we have a day off to try to get some work done. Most of the morning was spent packing and working on blogs and photos. At lunch we took a walk to try to find an ATM…with success. We then found a sidewalk café and had some lunch before heading back to the hotel for an afternoon of more work.
We spent the afternoon and early evening working in the
room. Neither of us were very hungry for
dinner but wanted a bit of something to eat.
So we headed out to a small, corner eatery across from the beach and got
an order of hummus and pita bread. Just
the right amount of food. Then we
stopped at an adjacent bakery where we got a selection of Turkish desserts,
including our favorite, baklava. We took
it back to the room to eat. Wasn’t as
good as the desserts we had in Turkey but they were still quite yummy.
On the way back to the hotel we walked along the beach. There is a lot happening there at night. A lot of people work working out, jogging, and playing volleyball.
One group of four guys were playing a hybrid of volleyball and soccer. Used a volleyball net but no hands were allowed. Looked rather hard. They often ended up on their back when trying to kick the ball.
